A Short Bio of Barrie Anson DHoM, PsyV, DHD, MRadA

Barrie Anson was born in 1938, brought up in the New Forest area and educated at Brockenhurst School.

After school he entered the commercial world in London. This era came to an abrupt end 1957 with the commencement of two years National Service, partially served in the Far East. On leaving the Army he worked in London, later moving to Bangkok where his career continued in the pharmaceutical industry. After some years in Thailand as marketing manager for an American drug manufacturer, he was later posted to Lagos, Nigeria.

Following a personal crisis he opted out of big business to live in Athens, Greece. After a series of adventures there and much international travel, he lived briefly in France where his interest in complementary medicine began to emerge.

Returning to England in the late 1970's, the author worked in the health food trade, later training in homeopathy, radionics, nutritional therapy and hypnotherapy. He has been in practice in Hampshire, Dorset and Somerset since 1979.
